We are looking for a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in building, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. You will be responsible for measuring, cutting, and assembling materials according to project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, drywall, and other materials
- Build, install, and repair structures such as frameworks, floors, doors, windows, cabinets, and furniture
- Install fixtures such as molding, trim, and hardware
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Ensure work meets quality standards and project deadlines
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean worksite
- Collaborate with other construction professionals
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a carpenter or similar role
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
- Good physical condition and stamina
- Attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Vocational training or apprenticeship in carpentry or construction
- Knowledge of safety standards and building codes
